There will be a wall-mounted handrail against the same wall as the planned artwork. How would the mosaic work with those penetration points?

Should we avoid the handrail or can the mosaic be designed to work around its connections to the wall?

Attaching a handrail through the mosaic is not a problem structurally. It's more of an aesthetic question or trade off between any functional requirement to have the hand rail present vs. an unobstructed mosaic surface.
