Which level of drywall finish is acceptable?

Level 4 is acceptable — Level 5 preferred, but is not required. Minor surface imperfections will be filled with tile adhesive. The critical requirement is a planar substrate with a flatness tolerance of ⅛” in 10', both horizontally and vertically.
